Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes a dog like Asher and you are amazed at his strength and courage and ability to survive. He was spotted roaming the countryside with a bone sticking out of his front leg. Volunteers looked for him for three weeks before finally spotting him on a cold rainy night. He had survived several days and nights of freezing temperatures before that. When we got a close look at him, we saw that about 4 inches of his front leg bone protruded from the muscle  and more than half of the leg was gone. His damaged leg was removed by the Veterinarian and , despite his traumatic life, he is a sweet active guy. We do consider him special needs because he has three legs.
